A BS4142 noise assessment was conducted as required by the local Environmental Health Officer (EHO) to support a planning application for the installation of new plant equipment. This detailed assessment evaluated the potential noise impact of the proposed equipment on nearby residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with planning and environmental noise standards. Liaison with the EHO was integral to the process, facilitating a clear understanding of regulatory requirements and addressing any concerns raised. Using precise acoustic modeling and site-specific measurements, a thorough analysis of the plant's predicted noise levels against the existing background noise was provided.

The assessment also included proposals for noise mitigation measures, such as acoustic enclosures, barriers, or operational adjustments, tailored to minimise potential disturbances.
